Getting Signals Buzzing

Broadcast-grade encoding & IPTV platforms — available as hardware, software and under your own brand.

Full Range of Encoding, Decoding & IPTV Platforms

From SDI ingest to ST 2110 IP, from HDMI capture to multi-viewer playout — a single product family that covers every step of the broadcast chain.

Multi-channel SDI to MPEG-TS encoder rack unit

SDI → MPEG-TS Encoder

  • Up to 16 SDI inputs
  • SD / HD / 3G-SDI
  • H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS over IP

High-density, broadcast-grade encoding platform that ingests up to 16 SDI inputs and encodes them in real time to H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS for IP distribution.

Multi-channel MPEG-TS to SDI decoder rack unit

MPEG-TS → SDI Decoder

  • H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS in
  • Up to 16 SDI outputs
  • SD / HD / 3G-SDI

Broadcast-grade playout platform that receives H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS feeds over IP and outputs them as SDI signals (SD/HD/3G-SDI) — the bridge from IP-distributed content back to legacy SDI infrastructure.

ST 2110 encoder appliance

ST 2110 → MPEG-TS Encoder

  • Up to 16 streams
  • ST 2110-20 / -30 in
  • 4 × 25 GbE
  • ST 2022-7 redundancy

High-density encoder that receives uncompressed video and audio over SMPTE ST 2110-20/30 across 4×25 GbE with seamless ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy, and encodes in real time to H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS.

MPEG-TS → ST 2110 Decoder

  • H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS in
  • ST 2110-20 / -30 out
  • 4 × 25 GbE
  • ST 2022-7 redundancy

Broadcast-grade playout platform that receives H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS and outputs uncompressed SMPTE ST 2110-20 video plus ST 2110-30 audio over 4×25 GbE with seamless ST 2022-7 hitless redundancy.

HDMI to MPEG-TS encoder unit

HDMI → MPEG-TS Encoder

  • Up to 8 HDMI inputs
  • 4K60 capable
  • H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS over IP

Compact, broadcast-grade encoding platform that captures up to 8 HDMI inputs at up to 4K60 and encodes them in real time to H.264 / H.265 (HEVC) MPEG-TS for IP distribution.

IPTV stream distribution server

IPTV Stream Distribution & Channel Manager

  • Centralised channel catalogue
  • UDP / HLS / DASH
  • Web management UI

The control plane of the IPTV stack — receives MPEG-TS feeds from encoders, manages the channel line-up and distributes streams to set-top boxes and clients across the facility.

IPTV set-top box with dual HDMI output

IPTV Set-Top Box — Dual HDMI Multi-Viewer

  • 2 independent HDMI outputs
  • Up to 4K per output
  • Quad-split, 8 streams

Professional dual-output display platform that renders IPTV streams across two independent HDMI outputs at up to 4K, in full-screen or 2×2 quad-split (8 streams total).

01

Hardware

Turn-key 1U / 2U appliances, factory-tuned for broadcast SLAs.

02

Software

Run the same stack on your own servers — bare-metal or virtualised.

03

White-label

Ship the platform under your own brand with custom UI and badging.

Support & Service

When the show goes live, you don’t go alone.

Buying a Hornets-Tech platform isn’t a transaction — it’s access to a broadcast engineering team that stays on the line long after the truck rolls out.

24 / 7 / 365 Phone Support

Round-the-clock telephone access to a real engineer — every day of the year, including holidays and the night of the big match.

Direct Line to Engineering

Skip the call-centre script. Tickets are handled by the people who designed and built the platform — same names on the commit log and the support call.

On-Site Engineering on Request

When a deployment, complex integration, or major live production calls for hands-on presence, our engineering team can come to your facility — scoped together to fit the project.

Always-Current Firmware

New codecs, new formats, security patches — every active customer receives every release, whether on a perpetual licence or annual subscription. The platform keeps pace with broadcast standards as they evolve.

Custom Development

The same engineers who answer your support calls also write the firmware. UI tailoring, REST API extensions, integrations with your NOC or scheduling systems, deep low-level features — the platform adapts to your operation, not the other way around.

One Team, Whole Signal Chain

From SDI and HDMI ingest, through IP distribution, to set-top box rendering — every link in the chain is built and supported by the same engineering team. No vendor finger-pointing when something breaks, and no integration tax between mismatched products.

Deployment Example

How it fits together

A typical multi-site deployment: live SDI and ST 2110 sources at the primary facility, encoded into IP, distributed locally to set-top boxes, and shipped over the public internet via SRT to a remote facility — where the signal is decoded back to SDI or ST 2110 baseband.

Multi-site deployment example: Facility A primary site with SDI and ST 2110 sources, encoders, IPTV server, set-top boxes and monitors; Facility B remote site with decoder fed over the public internet via SRT.
